The Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) course is a Canadian certification program designed to better equip nurses working in Canadian Hospital Emergency Departments.

CTAS helps emergency nurses and physicians:

  • Triage patients based on the type and severity of their presenting signs and symptoms.
  • Prioritize patients when emergency department capacity is exceeded.
  • Ensure that patients’ care needs are reassessed while they are in the emergency department.

The dates for 2026 are:

  • October 14, 2026
  • December 15, 2026

  • Member: $231

  • CTAS course sessions are only available via Zoom videoconference.
